About us
Nada Designs is all about love, heritage and know how. Founded by mother Sherine and named after her daughter Nada. Now the two women work closely side by side to head up Nada Designs.
The story of Sherine and Nada begins in a little town in Alexandria, Egypt. Traditionally a historical hub for for the finest textiles and passementerie, there, the trimmings, yarns, linens and silks for palaces such as Versailles, Shonbrunn and Topkapi were produced. Historically a poverty stricken area, the people here mastered the Art of textiles and trimmings, and have passed these techniques through generations- and what trimmings! This in turn has allowed the families in the area to thrive. All the products are made by the finest yarns and silks and are 100% made by hand- one by one - step by step with care and passion by our artisans, upholsterers and curtain makers.
Sherine has over 30 years experience as an international interior designer, having worked on several high profile hotels yachts and residential properties . Nada has worked for top interior design studios David Collins Studio, Nina Campbell and Winch. This means that both have a unique knowledge understanding of the design industry - Love, heritage and know how!

This is why, we chose to also launch a curtain design and upholstery service- because we know exactly what good soft furnishings should look like! Our clients are often amazed at the quality and durability- even in a commercial environment.
ENVIRONMENT
Each of our products is 100% organic and produced by hand on the looms, in the traditional way. These looms are operated by hand and require no electricity, and therefore all of our products are inherently enviromnentally friendly. As a company we always take initiative to do our part for the environment- from our transportation to our packaging- we do our best to be as environmentally responsible as possible, at all times.
